From One SelfieBox to a Growing Photo Booth Family

When SelfieBox began, there was one booth and one big idea: give guests a simple, polished way to capture, print and share the fun at an event.
By July 2018, only three years later, that first SelfieBox had grown into a full family of photo booth products. Different event spaces, audiences and campaign goals had inspired us to build more shapes, sizes and experiences.
Where it started

The original SelfieBox Elite combined a camera, touchscreen and built-in printing in one freestanding booth. It established the approach that still guides us: reliable technology, easy guest interaction and photographs people are excited to keep.
Three years of new possibilities
The 2018 line-up shows how quickly the range developed. Alongside multiple SelfieBox units were compact sharing stations, HaloBoxes, themed booth designs, printing stations and larger interactive products — each created for a different type of event experience.
- More booths meant we could support more events and larger activations.
- Different designs gave clients options for weddings, parties and branded campaigns.
- Sharing and printing stations expanded what guests could do with their photos.
- New technology opened the door to interactive and immersive experiences.
One booth became a growing South African team
The product range was only part of the story. Growing from one SelfieBox also meant building the people, systems and regional teams needed to deliver consistent experiences at events across South Africa.
Looking back at this 2018 line-up is a reminder of how much can change in three years — and how one good idea can grow when every event teaches you something new.
